Why are Torrent and FTP downloads of the installer not on the main site?

https://www.freebsd.org/where only has HTTP download links without any mention of BitTorrent or FTP. The site has nothing about it and it was only a Google search that led me to the FTP page (https://download.freebsd.org/ftp - it doesn't even appear in the parent directory!) and Torrent which happens to be only on the FreeBSD Wiki (https://wiki.freebsd.org/Torrents).

It's a bit baffling to omit those options on the site because it makes it look like they don't exist. I always Torrent as it is both faster and more reliable than direct downloading 90% of the time.

I strongly suggest the site maintainer to put and display FTP and Torrent download links along with the HTTP on freebsd.org/where. Thanks!

Pick a better mirror. There's a whole list of third parties that provides up to date images. For me ftp2.nl.freebsd.org is super fast, faster than ftp.nl.freebsd.org (I suspect they're throttling downloads).

Some of them are throttling downloads at exactly 1Mbps when accessing from VPN. I had to create a firewall rule for those sites, and re-route them to non VPN gateway. Majority of them are super fast.

But perhaps my query has been misunderstood (or maybe I didn't say it properly). It is nice that there are download mirrors from servers that would probably download at a fast speed. But the other thing is user preference. I prefer to use Torrent wherever possible and it's worked better for me most of the time.

It would be nice to at least display links to Torrent and FTP downloads on that webpage. Can't really see a logical reason why it's not there (and it made me believe until recently that FreeBSD don't provide Torrent downloads, misleading newcomers).
