Solved Can't connect to my wifi home network...

Hello.

First of all I would like to know if you use a compact wi-fi adapter,if yes, which model it is. Please post a picture or I will be not able to understand which model works and I can buy.

I'm trying to connect to my wi-fi network using this adapter :

Code:

We can say that the problem is fixed. That adapter is not good for FreeBSD. I chosen another one and boom. Worked like a charme. Finding one that works seems like hitting the jackpot.

Atheros is not good for a phone
I chose an Atheros atk9 card years ago for LibreBoot (it was one of the most open-source wifi cards available iirc). I think newer atk10 stuff has a different rep though. It looks like QCNFA222 is atk9.

If atk9 has the same good support on FreeBSD like Linux, I'd go for that!

Did u understand that I'm building a phone ? the adapter should be small, like the Edimax one. I can't make a phone that looks like a brick.

My Ralink RT2501/ RT2573 Wireless USB Stick does not work under FreeBSD 14.2 installed on the Radxa Zero 3W (it does not create the wlan0 network interface).

The manpage of "ral" mentions that it supports "PCI/PCIe/CardBus wireless adapters based on the Ralink RT2500, RT2501, RT2600, RT2700, RT2800, RT3090 and RT3900E chipsets".

Ok the chipset of my wifi stick is RT2501/ RT2573,but it is USB,not PCI/PCIe/CardBus,so I suppose that's the wrong driver.

Instead,I tried the "run" driver. It didn't work, because it supports "USB 2.0 wireless adapters based on the Ralink RT2700U, RT2800U, RT3000U and RT3900E chipsets) ; not my chipset.

What's the proper driver to use ? Take in consideration that it worked on my x86_X64 Intel PC,why it shouldn't on the Radxa ?

Unfortunately I can't know which driver it uses, because on my PC it is embedded inside the kernel, instead on the Radxa I should load the driver from the proper ko file.

Hello bro.

I've just got the Edimax EW-7811UN V2 dongle to my home. Can you tell me what's the name of the kernel module to load to be able to enable it ? thanks.
