Other Shell commands doens't work in Ranger

I'm having issues with my file manager Ranger. It looks like shell commands doesn't work for me. Commands like these ones doesn't work at all:

map x shell chmod +x %s
map X shell chmod -x %s

Does anyone have a clue what's going on here? It works just fine in any Linux based operating system.
