Epson ET-8500 printer-scanner

Hello.
A freeBSD newbie asking their first question on these forums.
Has anyone gotten the Epson ET-8500 series eco-tank printers working here?
What I mean is:
A: usb connected NOT IPP feature neutered. Rather using the Epson utilities and full feature drivers (ie: ported from osx)?
I do a lot of DTP proof printing which means the print must be calibrated to the press master calibration prints which requires all the mfg. toys.
B: Also we, the proof print group are NOT allowed wireless device connections ONLY direct wire usb and no internet on those machines (fully stand alone computers).

Anyway, just beginning to set up my freeBSD (I hope) to replace my current debian LINUX workstation.. thus far enjoying the adventure.
Thank you for any and all help.
