Other Connect storage over Internet - what is best?

In one LAN placed FreeBSD 10.1 and Windows 2012R2 with connection to Internet.
Need to connect storage on FreeBSD 10.1 to remote Windows 2008R2 via Windows 2012R2 (because Windows 2012R2 have access to internet, FreeBSD 10.1 no).
What method is a best? I think about NAS or FTP over SSH-tunnel.
 
"best method" depends on your own criteria for security, performance, stability, ease-of-use and more. Only you can decide that.
FreeBSD supports many ways to share storage over network, like NFS, Samba, sshfs and more. One of these methods would be appropriate for the LAN part.
