The Foundation wants to hire somebody to take care of the graphics stack:
https://freebsdfoundation.org/open-positions/freebsd-graphics-stack-developer-position/
Hmm, looking at the port, it should modify the man page:
@${REINPLACE_CMD} -e "s|%%PREFIX%%|${PREFIX}|g" -e "s|%%LOCALBASE%%|${LOCALBASE}|g" \
-e "s|\(/etc/profile\)|${PREFIX}\1|g" \
${WRKSRC}/doc/bash.1
And indeed, locally I have that...
I want a Lenovo W500! Wacom digitizer (looks perfect for osu! :p) and a second screen on slide-out! I had a T500 and liked the bulk of it.
Acer Predator 21 X looks fun :p
It's used by sh, which is included in the base OS (and set as the default shell nowadays). Bash isn't. It's built and installed using the LOCALBASE prefix, which is /usr/local on FreeBSD. So $LOCALBASE/etc/profile points to...
I did use older FreeBSD images on various Pis. There were no steps other than burning the SD card. It boots into a full OS, there is no installer.
Which Pi do you have, exactly?
We have tiers for programming languages?
Rust should work just fine most of the time because it is needed by quite a few ports. If Rust breaks a lot of people get notified.
It's '14.3-RELEASE' and '13.2-RELEASE', not '14.3' and '13.2'. And it's the wrong way around, your jail is currently running 13.2-RELEASE and you want to upgrade (-r) to 14.3-RELEASE.
Also what we could try to do, is make a SD card image of already-setup FreeBSD for some Raspberry Pi, with the choice of software Peter would like to have.
It is a FreeBSD users forum, so it's natural we'll be a bit defensive. Consider we will always advocate FreeBSD usage. Somebody being curious, then falling out quickly, will naturally ignite some responses.
However it's all fine and civil...
FreeBSD is a bit like "Windows Core" or "Busybox+Linux". The user installs what they need from scratch. This is perfect for people who don't want i.e a GUI desktop but does mean that those that do, need to install the extra packages themselves...
The one that bought must return the product. I hope he did not give the name of ZioMario as the buyer ...
But this is very probably, the thief wants to keep his name secret.

As said, for payment in internet, I use an account in one of these new smartphone banks, neobanks, without any credit line, only with a small deposit. Now that there is in EU real time transfer, you can transfer to it just short before a bigger...
4 Months ago I bought 2x12TB WD Red Plus HDDs.
Since 1 week ago I got a unrecovable read geli error on one of the HDDs, and I thought, I will scrub the HDDs.
That error went away, but now I get on the same HDD the same error.
This is a snippet of...
The case has been solved just right now. I found the smoking gun. I received a spoofed email that looked like it came from my bank, and I clicked the link. I even found on the history the fake webpage showed on that email,so it's sure that I...
Short update for 15.0-RELEASE, I've just tested this with 15.0-BETA2:
- jlduran@ has imported blocklist 2025/04-/28 in https://cgit.freebsd.org/ports/commit/?id=e2dcc9fc4
- upstream has renamed blacklistd -> blocklistd so we have followed suit...
Also very rare... I remember X62 (!!)
It's very special :)

Sadly, seems https://www.51nb.com/ does not exist now. I'm still hoping for a motherboard upgrade for X220 or X201!
That's the thing (I think :p): You don't need a centralized bank! If I understand right, with a hardware wallet you're the only one with access to the funds. Using an exchange like a bank with crypto sounds questionable.
You still need to do the install part of the upgrade. freebsd-update -r <some_version> upgrade downloads and prepares the upgrade, it doesn't make any changes yet. That happens with freebsd-update <options> install.
Guild Wars 2 works on FreeBSD 15.0-BETA2! Used wine-10.0 (non-devel), latest DXVK-master, and winetricks arial

The bank apps I've dealt with in the US don't care about a Google account, but the expected device integrity (and getting it from Play Store) likely requires a sign-in.
If your bank is cool they'd provide an apk from their servers (I'm not aware...
I have a Windows VM with IP address 192.168.0.77.
I use this tcpproxy.conf rule, on a FreeBSD server, for accessing this VM from Internet via Wireguard:

You've installed Cinnamon but configured .xinitrc to start LXQT.
Replace "startlxqt" with "cinnamon-session".
Redirect the screen output into a file, example: startx >& xorg.log.
This log file can then be sent to a text storage site. I.e.: cat...
Now there are some things, that contain security issues - responsibilities - by your side that may seem not so obvious at the first glance:
First You re-acted on something sent to you. When and if I do banking transactions I am the one who shoots...
Yes.
Yes. But I did these manipulations, and after mergin the files that need to be merged (combined?) jail stops loading. In 'data' jail userland is for 14.2, as I understand. But
freebsd-version
displays 13.2.
After
freebsd-update -b...
with
mount -t ext2fs -o rw /dev/ada0p3 /mnt/ada0p3
I've got
operation not permitted.
fuse-ext2 -o uid=1001 -o force /dev/ada0p3 /mnt/ada0p3
works fine.
