There are tutorials using Linux on the web but for prior versions and the instuctions in threads seem to pertain to those prior versions [ that is, need updating ] and I cannot ascertain how to use them, as instructed, at first glance ... [ though I did get audacity to record a .wav, I think, that produced not actual sound !? ] Per my research gnome-sound-recorder may work on linux for the purpose, but I am out of time for further FreeBSD solution testing * unless, the reason for this post, anyone know of a CLI or GUI that is plug-and-play [ text-included icons ] microphone-to-file? [ * or reading tutorials, this is only a hobby as of now with limited time to spend ] sox? ffmpeg? 3rd?
