Unsubscribing from ports-secteam

I recently thought (wrongly) I had discovered a critical flaw in a port, so I tried to report it to ports-secteam as instructed. However, in order to have my report delivered I had to subscribe to the list. Now I am inundated with mail discussing every issue in every package, and I have no knowledge from which to engage.

It is obvious I need to come off this list, but none of the mails has an unsubscribe link or, if it has, I can't see it. I have even sent an e-mail to the list asking how to come off but no one has replied.

Does anyone know how I can get off it?

open the mail (any mail) from that list in a way that lets you see all the headers. One of them will have the recipe to unsubscribe.
Also the first mail you got when you subscribed probably also has that information.

Aren't you stuck in some Cc or Bcc chain? So far as I know that address is an alias, not a mailing list. Did you Cc: freebsd-ports perhaps?

I wouldn't Cc: anyone with a security report - the fewer people know about it the better. I simply clicked a link in the bounce message to sign up and deliver my report. I did not receive a welcome message.

However, on opening the headers I was able to find the List-unsubscribe address and have now received the reply:

Hi, this is the Mlmmj program managing the <ports-secteam@FreeBSD.org>
mailing list.

Somebody (and we hope it was you) has requested that the email address
<....> be removed from the list.

After replying to that I've received confirmation I am now off.
