Thinkcentre m92p w/i915 screen tearing in KDE Plasma?

I just switched my desktop over to FreeBSD 14 w/ KDE Plasma and it's pretty, but there's a bit of tearing (I guess that's what's its called when you drag a window and the 10 pixels or so on each side are not repainted instantly as you drag... you see it repaint, quick, but not instant). How to fix it? I have drm-kmod installed and kld_list="i915kms" at the top of my rc.conf. Any suggestions?

If a high CPU usage is noticed or excessive tearing with HD video, the installation of multimedia/libva-intel-driver may help. To install the package execute the following command:
# pkg install libva-intel-driver mesa-libs mesa-dri

Same experience on hp xw8600, thinkpad t420.
I installed x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel and multimedia/libva-intel-driver.
It reduced the tearing, but still slightly noticeable.
