Default sonar hack xscreensaver-gnome

I edited the make file in x11/xscreensaver-gnome to install the sonar hack, I then edited the config in KDE4 for this but I'm still being told that sonar needs to be setup and then the screen saver runs in demo mode, am I missing something?

Try using x11/xscreensaver instead.

I deinstalled x11/xscreensaver-gnome and installed x11/xscreensaver it's now "working" but I'm getting this error

Code:
Unable to determine local subnet address
And it loops back to 127.0.0.1
