    bhyve vGPU apart from GVT-d

    Sysrc and NanoBSD

Honestly, I just realized that same thing. I used -b -B to skip the compilations and installations. seems there is a cleanup procedure somewhere in there. Will test the whole process with sysrc tomorrow morning.

    Sysrc and NanoBSD

/usr/obj/nanobsd.bHype/_.w/ does exist there is no typo. this is the correct path I tried by hand before I posted this. Same output. I was not expecting a problem with zfs. Just really wanted to have nanobsd create zfs partitions.

Sure Your suggestion worked by the way. thank you. Any chance you have a cfg working with zfs partitions? Seems like it is a rather complicated task.

bhyve Management group available for bhyve admins ?

Hey Ole, long time. Thank you for the link. I have already thoroughly explored CBSD and ClonOS. I am a fan as you know. I may need your help with OS packaging later on. I see FreeBSD provides several options and as always none of them are properly documented.

bhyve Management group available for bhyve admins ?

I get your point and the idea for the zones is something I am going to think about usability over security I always say. and I work security not a fan of patching all those jails with VMs running on top here is the plan: https://github.com/bozhinov/bHype Please don't laugh.

Boot fails after switching hard drives

Guys, Will not boot from any of these. I have tried: /dev/ad4s1a /dev/ad4s1d /dev/ad4s1f /dev/ad4s1e Tried with UFS and FFS. LSDEV shows that disk1 is the one and that disk1part1b is SWAP. I can see the files in there, but it just will not boot. What now? Attached is the list...

Boot fails after switching hard drives

Hi wblock@, I will try the mfsBSD from USB drive and try and change the fstab. The old drive is in use at the moment far away in the server room while I am struggling at home with the new one. Thank you for the labeling HOWTO. I wish I never have to do that again, unfortunately now I need the...

Boot fails after switching hard drives

Hello gentlemen, Once again I am at your mercy. I cloned one of my RAID 1 SATA drives to a PATA one (please do not ask why). Now I am trying to boot from that PATA and I get that the values in fstab are all wrong. I did as instructed set vfs.root.mountfrom=/dev/ad4s1 set...

What up with inactive memory usage

Now now guys .. that was a typo .. actually it wasn't:) I meant the backup kind of RAID. RAID1 I suppose. I configured my server. It was ages ago and YES I'm a heavy windows user and barely have anything to do with hardware. YES I assembled my server from ebay parts, so I'm not surprised I have...

What up with inactive memory usage

The server room experiences power outage every now and then :) Not much of a server room anyway. The RAID array degrades after every outage and I was concerned about data corruption. Otherwise that box has served me well for the past 4 years.

What up with inactive memory usage

Hi wblock@, I was considering a leakage and since some of that memory will be taken away from this server, I've decided that it won't hurt asking you guys. Over all I'm more than happy with the memory consumption, considering all the things running on that box.

What up with inactive memory usage

Thank you Uniballer. Gkontos, I do have swap, but the graph for the swap usage is empty. 0 in, 0 out. That is one of the reasons I think I might have a problem. though I only use 1.5 GB of RAM and the server has like 8 GB, so why use it right? As for the I/O, I don't think so, there is a single...
