I read somewhere that the latest relase was 9.0-CURRENT. I have a freash install of freebsd 7.2 and I need to know what to do to fully update... is there a script? is this page what I need to follow, is it up to date?: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/handbook/ports-using.html

If I didnt say it, very few viruses are written in C for windowz ASM to me is harder to learn and master. printf is easier than mov any day in my book.

to go deeper, if I boot up a slackware livecd and go to type "setup" NO characters will appear in the shell, if I boot a freebsd disk, EVERYTHING WORKS for some strange reason. I have used Linux for a while and I know when theres a problem.

maybe the virus was written by someone using freebsd.... furthermore, I even tried to install netBSD and I was unable. people seem to think that catching a virus on a unix system is non existent. I beg to differ!! after all, you only need to know C to write a Linux/Unix virus/exploit...

update: recently tried a version of linux, when i compiled the kernel, i searched for RNDIS in the config file program(make menuconfig) and i was successful! now my question now is that can I do the same with freebsd?

the K&R book doesn't go over C99, because it's ann older book. I have it, but prefer to use an more updated book.
