I am behind a firewall that does not allow ftp, and the mirror that is configured in FreeBSD 7.2 is quite slow

I have configured the ipw3945 wireless card in the loader.conf fine, added the lines
if_wpi_load=â€YESâ€
wlan_load=â€YESâ€
wlan_amrr_load=â€YESâ€
firmware_load=â€YESâ€
wpifw_load=â€YESâ€
legal.intel_wpi.license_ack=1
and after rebooting i typed in a shell
ifconfig wpi0 up...

Thkz for your replies, I have installed fBSD in an external USB HDD, and I am now lerning to pay with it...
One thing puzzles me though... the boot time... it is slow... even considering that I am booting from a USB HDD...
I have installed an ArchLinux system in another...
But not everything is in the DVD, at least i got this impression when I installed fBSD... am I wrong ...?
I asked me wether i wanted to install the ports tree, which i replied yes, but cd /usr/ports/whatever , #make install clean starts trying to connect to several URL to fetch the files and...

Thanks for your reply, You mean to say that # make fetch-recursive in /usr/ports will populate the whole of the ports tree...? fine...
Once I have the ports tree completely filled, in case I want to compile/install an application, I just cd to the folder and #make install...
