I actually wanted the mysql database to be located at /usr/mysql. I copied the database from /var/db/mysql to /usr/mysql then ran: ln -s /usr/mysql /var/db/mysql
And it worked. I *think* it wasn't working because /usr/mysql did not exist?? Not sure..
Hi,
I wanted to get python 2.7 installed on my FreeBSD box so I went ahead and installed the 27 port and it seems to have installed correctly. However, when ever I execute "python" it still brings me into the python 2.6.6 shell. How do I get this to bring me into the 27 shell and also make...
Hmm, I can't seem to get this symlink correct though I've done it before...
I've ran into this very same issue and I'm trying to link /var/db/mysql to /usr/mysql
When I enter the command: ln -s /usr/mysql /var/db/mysql

What is the reasoning behind dividing the bandwidth? Are you trying to throttle certain types of traffic? Have you looked at Quality of Service or web proxies?

anyone know how upgrade handles this?
thanks,
