    Alternative to Adobe Reader

Hi killasmurf86 You can actually search the document by pressing / followed by the search text! Please read the manual at http://mupdf.com/ for more features. It is by far the best PDF reader I have found for the XFCE desktop environment as it has no QT4/GNOME or other unnecessary dependencies.

    Chromium without gconf

Hi All, First of all, I thank the entire team that ported the best browser Chromium (you have to admit this even if you are not a Google fan) to FreeBSD. However as a KDE/XFCE user I'm annoyed with its build-time dependency on gconf2 (and consequently on orbit2). Openoffice for instance can be...

Hi All, I think make -DWITHOUT_GNOME is the best option we have. Thanks for your responses. Unless anyone has a better solution, this can be marked as solved.

    Evolution not compiling

Hi EdGe, thank you very much for your help. The problem is solved. I installed evolution-data-server separately. Looks like it was not 'properly' registered. I now recall compiling something else at the same time which too probably depended on evolution-data-server. And I had got a compilation...

    Unable to start kmquake2

Hey Adam, you are right. The same game used to work earlier on my laptop with an older version of Nvidia driver. Looks like the current version of the Nvidia driver in the ports is the problem. I can't wait to play the game in my resolution 1920x1200 :(
