The settings listed under the loader.conf output where just the last settings I was testing. I've tried a kmem_size of 9216 (1.5x the physical 6gb as suggested on the mailing list) and with a arc_max of 5120 and every variation in between with the same results. Its not so much that zfs is eating...
Hey Everyone,
Was just wondering if there was a way to tune and/or force the page handler to turn a large portion of inactive memory into free memory (preferably when going below a hard minimum of available free memory) ?? The reason I ask is that I'm currently running ZFS and am experiencing...
I'm just going to reformat and re-install (my servers been down for far too long; though the question of "why?" will still haunt me for awhile). Thanks Mel for all your help. Hopefully this doesn't repeat itself.
The permissions on libXau.so.6 is 755. But I seem to have stumbled over a bigger problem when i went to re-install the port anyway:
#pkg_delete -f libXau*
pkg_delete: No match.
#pkg_info: libXau*
pkg_info: No match.
#man pkg_info
No manual entry for pkg_info
#pkg_info | grep libXau...
And the plot thickens:
$ldd -a /usr/local/bin/xauth
/usr/local/bin/xauth:
libXau.so.6 => not found (0x0)
libXext.so.6 => not found (0x0)
libXmuu.so.1 => not found (0x0)
libX11.so.6 => not found (0x0)
libc.so.7 => /lib/libc.so.7 (0x800639000)
$
and...
sorry about that, here it is:
$ ldd -a `which xauth`
/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libXau.so.6" not found, required by "xauth"
usage: ldd [-a] [-v] [-f format] program ...
$
The result of the comparison are:
#mtree -de -f /etc/mtree/BSD.local.dist -p /usr/local && echo OK
OK
#
Sorry for the Lack of information yesterday, i was running out the door.
Here's the standard error it gives me when trying to access almost any program with shared libraries as a regular...
Hey Everyone,
Getting back into FreeBSD after 2 years of Linux (feels good to be back!!). I've got a problem though. It seems that the system cannot see the libraries in /usr/local/lib.
lbconfig -r properly displays all the linked libraries and I've tried every way I can think of to...
