When I try to build net/netatalk3 I get the following error, regardless of whether the DBUS option is selected or not:
main.c: In function 'main':
main.c:317: error: 'OPTION_DBUS_AFPSTATS' undeclared (first use in this function)
main.c:317: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only...
Thanks for the comprehensive explanation.
I have destroyed all snapshots, re-scrubbed and cleared the pool but I'm still getting exactly the same errors so it doesn't appear to be snapshot related.
Thanks. Do these errors indicate that the corruption is related to snapshots? If so is there any way of identifying the effected snapshot(s)?
The ZFS docs state:
I'm afraid this doesn't mean much to me and I've not found much information about this issue.
One of the RAM modules on my server was badly seated and caused corruption on the zfs filesystem, I have restored all the corrupted files and scrubbed the pool but it still reports errors in the metadata.
How do you guys recommend I deal with this? I have data backup and v.old snapshots...
I'm trying to build a python egg for the trac-mercurial plugin and I'm getting the error below which seems to be a problem with setuptools.
I'm afraid I am not well versed in python - is this something I should contact the setuptools port maintainer about or is it a problem with the plugin...
No CD/DVD drive unfortunately so I'll have to install 8.2 and upgrade from that. I've got another similar system to build in a few weeks so hopefully RC1 will be good for that.
I'm unable to get the FreeBSD 9.0-BETA3 memstick to boot on a SuperMicro 1017C-TF, it doesn't find a bootable device. I've tried downloading and writing it several times and also different USB sticks but always the same problem.
The 8.2 memstick image works fine though.
Any ideas why this...
I'm getting exactly the same error; I've done as the previous poster suggested and deinstalled+reinstalled and unselected Zeroconf in the config menu, but it doesn't help.

I've just come across this post which suggests that smartd is the likely culprit for the error messages and since disabling smartd I have not had any further errors in the logs. Hopefully this will also solve the panic; time will tell.

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried that and I suspect it is this script:
/etc/periodic/security/100.chksetuid
It takes a long time to run, during which I get these errors.

I've got an LSI Logic SAS3081e controller with 5 disks attached as JBOD and recently I've noticed these messages cropping up in the logs.

I'm running FreeBSD on a Soekris box with /var mounted on a 46M ramdisk.
df reports that I'm using all the available space whilst du says I'm only using about 10%, Any ideas what's going on?

I'll ask them to reconfigure the switch port.
I've not any experience with VLANs; if I were to configure a vlan to access the gw on xx.xx.113.1 how would I go about doing this, would I need to assign a different address to rl0 and then define a vlan (401) for xx.xx.113.0/24 or can I somehow...
