Have you looked in this thread https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/6942/ ? You can set the option in sysctl.conf. Not sure if that is enough to make your EliteBook suspend.

Did you recompile your ports after upgrading or are you using packages? And have you checked the entries about SAMBA and Python2.7 in UPDATING (/usr/ports/UPDATING)?

I had to do the above and recompile the Kernel without VESA to make suspend and resume work. I am using an older lenovo x220 to run FreeBSD 11.1.

Hi Snurg, Did you also add the DNS to the Jails resolv.conf? The entry about ezjail in the handbook has a section with steps one need to make in a jail so it works, maybe that will help you. Regards Stig

Thanks gentoobob I am not sure if it helps you but I have tried to replicate the errormount_smbfs: empty share name. I get the error response when I try to open a share on the server which does not exist. Can the name of the share be wrong or is it not shared as expected? Regards Stig
