    IDE for C with debugging

I'd throw in Codelite. I downloaded it yesterday and it seems like a simple and nice IDE. Of course, there's some serious programming to be done before the final verdict, but for the start it looks OK.

As far as I know there's no FreeBSD driver for GL6110. I have no experience with other devices so maybe some other forum member can help.

CPU Overheating on Compaq laptop + FreeBSD 9.0-rc2

I'm not so worried about the temperature, 55C won't burn anything, it's just fan spinning that sounds like a wind turbine that powers the whole city. Since I'm working with FreeBSD usually at night it's really loud sound. I've been looking at the top data and it seems that root's idle command...

    Won't wake up after sleep

Which I won't... Unable to set dev.pcm.0.rev.vchans=4, startx says Bus error 10. Very good. File system check says everything is fine, but everything obviously is not fine. Much to my delight I discovered that one memory bank literally burned out with sparkle and smoke and smell and everything...

CPU Overheating on Compaq laptop + FreeBSD 9.0-rc2

I don't have a solution, but it may be that RC is a problem. I'm on RC3, temperature is about 55C but processor's fan is spinning like crazy. No overheating or freezing caused by the temperature, just the fan running like I'm in Google's data center :-)

    Won't wake up after sleep

@Crivens: Off on off on several times, than Win7 then reboot and FreeBSD came to life as nothing happened @jrm: Thanks for the link, I will read that. First I must solve the wild fan problem :-)

    Won't wake up after sleep

It's a desktop PC. Win 7 works well (installed on another disk), FreeBSD shows me just a blank screen. It's the fist time I tried sleep/suspend, I just managed to get the whole system to work without endless re-installations :-) Now, it's up and running. Just like that. Go figure...

    Won't wake up after sleep

I believe this topic belongs to this thread, if not admin please move it. Yesterday everything was working fine until I sent the computer to sleep. Today it won't wake up, I hear the fans but the screen is blank. Power off, power on - nothing. Any ideas guys?

[PC-BSD] Wireless brings the system down

I'm just reading some Windows forums because Win 7 doesn't want to install drivers for it and it seems that I can be lucky that it works with FreeBSD :-) I'm going to play around with drivers to see which one will work best with rt61 chipset. It's also interesting that some other cards with the...

[PC-BSD] Wireless brings the system down

Driver is obviously generic from kernel since the system recognized the card. Everything is fine while the connection works; when it goes down I must not touch the wlan0.

[PC-BSD] Wireless brings the system down

Thanks, I'll try that. However, it's not fun taking care of every step, being afraid that the systems will go down if you press something.

[PC-BSD] Wireless brings the system down

Howdy, I did three installs in two days. The recipe is always the same: When wireless card loses connection with router, the first touch brings the system down. Configure wlan0, entering password for the router, restarting network... system goes to reboot and that's it. FreeBSD wakes up in, I...
