Good day!
I'm try to upgrade my system from
uname -a
FreeBSD home 9.2-BETA2 FreeBSD 9.2-BETA2 #0: Thu Aug 8 11:51:18 MSK 2013 user@home:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/BSDSERV amd64
to the latest FreeBSD 10-STABLE and I get the following error message:
make buildworld
cc -O2 -pipe -msse -msse2...
Seems that my English much bad than I think :) I will try with an online translator.
Good afternoon!
I saw news that the nVidia company gives some support to open community in respect of porting on the Tegra platform. Whether I would like to learn there is no information on FreeBSD porting on...
So all that actions not helps. And error still exists.
OS: FreeBSD BSD-VBOX 10.0-BETA3 FreeBSD 10.0-BETA3 #0: Wed Nov 13 01:16:17 MSK 2013 mike@BSD-VBOX:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/BSDSERV amd64

With the new ports infrastructure, has the way to configure port options changed? It looks like:
portname_OPTIONS= WITH_X11 ...
But I need to set the variable USE_GCC only for emulators/virtualbox-ose and emulators/virtualbox-ose-kmod. How do I do this?
OS: 10-Beta3 AMD64
I'm try to do that now and I have the same error with VirtualBox 4.3.2 (svn.redports.org: - Revision 19550)
PS. But I see that virtualbox-ose-kmod are not updated. When I try to cd /usr/ports/emulators/virtualbox-ose-kmod && make reinstall it gives me an error:
make reinstall clean
make...
Hi! I have exactly the same errors. And I do a PR for it: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=183085. But that problem I have on FreeBSD-10-Stable, as I see VirtualBox are broken on other recent versions of FreeBSD.
Also for that problem I use a maillist freebsd-emulation@: (Related...
I have exactly that issue. All music played with audio/amarok-2.7.0 plays like it has a 24kbit/s bitrate, with various pitches.
OS: 9.2-BETA2 FreeBSD 9.2-BETA2 #0: Thu Aug 8 AMD64
What can cause that problem?
Just for anybody who encounters the same problems:
Solved by adding in /etc/src.conf:
WITHOUT_ICONV=YES
WITH_GCC=YES
WITH_GNUCXX=YES
Additional options related to GCC I think needed because my early system was built with option:
WITHOUT_CLANG=YES
So in the future I need to migrate to clang.
Thank you very much!
Yes, @SirDice, I do that (mail to freebsd-current@ first), but there is no answer, so I risk to post the question here :) Will not do that next time!
Hi all,
I'm trying to update my system to the latest -CURRENT from svn and it ends with an error. How can I solve that problem? That is info about my system:
uname -a
FreeBSD MYBSD 10.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 10.0-CURRENT #0: Mon Aug 12 22:31:24 MSK 2013 xmy@MYBSD:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/MYBSD amd64...
Thank you @zeissoctopus!
I will do what you say, but I not fully understand, how x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati not drops support for not so old cards like RV630, but MesaLib drops it...
Strange opensource, too much exceptions and restrictions in some cases with opensource software.
Hi all!
After a port upgrade process, problems appear with games (games stop launch with errors).
Error: Couldn't initialize video: Couldn't find matching GLX visual
File: winsys.cpp
Line: 127
After checking /var/log/Xorg.0.log I see several errors and warnings:
grep -E "EE|WW"...
Thanks for the note about commenting #IGNORE= needs at least one of CLIENT, DEDICATED and SMP options It helps and the game installs. But I have a new problem, there is no game binary for playing. I have only:
ioq3ded
q3asm
q3lcc
q3rcc
q3cpp
Always played that game and now some problems appear...
Hi friends!
I have a problem with updating games/ioquake3. It gives me an error:
===> ioquake3-1.36_13 needs at least one of CLIENT, DEDICATED and SMP options.
*** [reinstall] Error code 1
Stop in /usr/ports/games/ioquake3.
I have read the wiki about options-ng, and added to /etc/make.conf...
Good day!
I have a test server with jails through sysutils/qjail and after a port upgrade procedure on the host system and rebooting, my jails are not starting. When I do /usr/local/etc/rc.d/qjail.bootime start:
jail: qjail: path : not an absolute pathname
Error: /usr/sbin/jail failed to start...
