Apache - IP address default port?

Ok I got it, I had to use the "A Record".

Apache - IP address default port?

No I already have a 'real' domain. How do I get it to work with apache? Is BIND necessary for this?

    Sysctl Brightness

RTL819 Wireless card? :O I have the Intel Wifi Link 5100AGN. I didn't have to do anything special to get this it work. My whole laptop model is L505 - S6959. You might have a model that's slightly different.

Apache - IP address default port?

Well it wasn't working before so I thought it was blocked. I port-forwarded port 80 and it worked. And to my next question: Is it complicated to set up my domain to work with apache so it points to my IP? I think I have to use BIND but configuration seems really complicated. Is there an easier way?

    Sysctl Brightness

Wow this works great. It can lower the brightness more than the keys could. Thanks a lot. :)

Apache - IP address default port?

I'm really new to apache (and I'm a newbie in networking), but how do I make my IP go to a default port? In apache I have: Listen 78 and ServerName 98.30.28.127:78 But when I type in 98.30.28.127, it doesn't work. I have to type 98.30.28.127:78 for it to work. Is it possible to make 78...

Or I think you can type it in quotes like: mv "The video.mp4" "The-video.mp4"

    Sysctl Brightness

I still haven't been able to solve this issue. Is it just not possible on my laptop because hw.acpi.video doesn't support it?

    Sysctl Brightness

    When I do so, here is the output: hw.acpi.supported_sleep_state: S3 S4 S5 hw.acpi.power_button_state: S5 hw.acpi.sleep_button_state: S3 hw.acpi.lid_switch_state: NONE hw.acpi.standby_state: NONE hw.acpi.suspend_state: S3 hw.acpi.sleep_delay: 1 hw.acpi.s4bios: 0 hw.acpi.verbose: 0...

    Sysctl Brightness

I'm trying to change my laptop brightness (Toshiba l505). Fn keys don't work, but I don't mind. xbacklight doesn't work, and I can't seem to get sysctl to work. I've loaded acpi_video, but whenever I do: sudo sysctl hw.acpi.video.<device>.active it says unknown oid. I've tried lcd, crt, tv...

    3D Support?

I have linux-f10-dri installed. I've always noticed worse 3D performance with my GPU on linux (and FreeBSD) than on windows. Too bad, I'm doing this on amd64. D: Should this be marked as solved or not lol? [Give up]? XD

    3D Support?

I haven't installed the patches, but after I did: export LD_PREOAD=/usr/local/lib/libGL.so.1 Hon (heroes of newerth) launches! The only problem is, it takes about 3 minutes to launch, and it runs incredibly slowly (Seems like it's 1 FPS, takes about 3 mins to get to login menu). Could this be...

    3D Support?

I've tried Heroes of Newerth (only on linux though, can't seem to get it to run on FreeBSD) and openarena. Can you direct me to these patches?

    3D Support?

Thanks. It's just that I have very low performance on some games on here compared to windows (around 18 FPS vs around 30 FPS). Do you know if GEM will help me get better performance on the Intel GM45?

    3D Support?

Sorry I'm new to FreeBSD, but how do I tell if I have 3D support? Whenever I run glxgears, I get: Failed to initialize GEM. Falling back to classic. Does this mean I don't have 3D support? Here is the output of glxinfo: name of display: :0 Failed to initialize GEM. Falling back to classic...

    libxml2.so.2

I remember installing it. I think I installed the native to freebsd FreeBSD version. Anyways, that works. Now I get this: K2 - Fatal Error: Couldn't load vid_gl2 Any ideas?

    libxml2.so.2

I'm trying to run Heroes of Newerth (linux game) on FreeBSD 9.0 AMD64. When I run it, it says: ./hon-x86: error while loading shared libraries: libxml2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory But when I use the find command, I see that I have...

    FreeBSD 9.0 CD Booter?

Yup, I'm retarded. I had two discs without labels on them. :S I thought it was booting into actual FreeBSD. Well anyways, I had to re-install windows because I somehow managed to screw up the partition table on my windows partition (trying to make it boot first). I'll be re-attempting to install...

    FreeBSD 9.0 CD Booter?

I decided to give FreeBSD 9.0 another go, and I was very impressed by the installer. It automatically configured my wireless network, and doing the partitioning was easy. But now when I click F12, select boot device, and select my Ubuntu LiveCD (have to change the boot flag to Windows with...
