I'm not saying you're wrong. :)
I see lots of references to using carp with a /30 however (that's why I'm experimenting with a single ip), for example this thread: https://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-net/2014-October/040114.html
Hm, Ok. That's odd. I've seen setups using CARP with a /30.
A quick search in the forum archive:

Yes, I believe switch ports are configured correctly.
Here is a similar config that works:
Host 1:
ifconfig_igb1="up -tso -lro -vlanhwtso"
cloned_interfaces="vlan60 vlan61 vlan62"
ifconfig_vlan60="inet A.A.A.2/25 vlan 60 vlandev igb1"
ifconfig_vlan60_alias0="inet A.A.A.1/32 vhid 10 advskew...
I've setup CARP on two hosts for testing but CARP gets stuck in init. I've used CARP before, but this is the first time with vlans. Output from ifconfig looks like this after rebooting both hosts and waiting a few minutes (real ip addresses removed):
Host1:

At least three high profile FreeBSD developers work for Yahoo. Most of the stuff they commit comes from Yahoo.
Also, large parts of the FreeBSD server infrastructure are hosted by Yahoo.
Are you running latest CURRENT? If not, update.
If that doesn't solve the problem, try current@ again. bhyve is still a very young project and the developers are very interested in fixing bugs.
I have plenty of 8.X VM's running in my ESX 4.1 environment, also using NetApp for storage. My ESX machines are all running with the latest patches from VMware. I do not see these errors.
Uptime varies a lot, but several VM's have around 200 - 300 days of uptime.
I suggest you send a mail to...
Everything in my environment is virtualized, so I'm using snapshots to backup all virtual machines. This also means I don't have a specific backup strategy for LDAP, because I don't need to. :)
Hi,
I'm currently writing a guide on setting up LDAP Authentication and Multi-Master Replication in FreeBSD. It's currently available on the FreeBSD wiki: http://wiki.freebsd.org/LDAP.
It's still missing a few explanations, but all the needed configuration should be there. If something is...
