I did hash -r still problem.
whereis portupgrade:
portupgrade: /usr/local/man/man1/portupgrade.1.gz /usr/ports/ports-mgmt/portupgrade
type portupgrade
bash: type: portupgrade: not found
Where is the kernel source?
And what would be the command to rebuild it.
I can't find anything in /usr/src.

I came from linux platform. uname -a displays the kernel version of linux. How can I know the kernel verson of FreeBSD?
Can I rebuild the FreeBSD kernel from source again to customize again?
I know how to use bash.
The configuration file is sometimes ~/.bashrc ,~/.bash_profile.
It depends on system.
I just wanted to be sure which file to configure.
In linux i get some result from routing table doing route -n.
Can i get some kind of that result in freebsd?
And how can i use route/netstat command to do that?

pkg_arr -r can't download from mirror.
echo $PACKAGEROOT doesn't display anything.
I don't want to upgrade from ports compiling every packages as i don't have disk space and time.
I want to download freebsd8.1 packages from mirror and install it...
