There's something I don't really get. FreeBSD, as DutchDaemon said, is a server OS by design but I use it mainly a Desktop OS is there something wrong with that? I Tried PC-BSD but I didn't like the PBI system (just because it didn't have much packages at the time) and I love the ports system...

Nope. It lags on any huge, blog-like website... It can't be a WebKit issue because I use Safari (also WebKit) and it works just fine. I will let you know if I find anything. (doubt it). Cheers.

Solved Ok I just solved the problem by deinstalling openssl and then installing/upgrading kdelibs3. Even so, I still think that such a conflict shouldn't have occurred...

hey guys I've just installed gmp 5 via ports but it doesn't work! when I compile a gmp program it complains it can't find gmp.h. i've even tried passing -I/usr/local/include (where the header actually is) but i still get the error: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgmp Any thoughts on this one...
