    Gallery3 login link restoration

Gallery3 is no longer supported so I do not find any other places to post. About 6 months ago I removed all the login-links on my gallery pages but now I try my old method (http://myhost/gallery/gibberlish) and it will come with a page to ask for usage name and password. It used to work ok, but...

Web image library (gallery3) not working after PHP upgrade

I installed the newest released (FreeBSD 10.1) over the weekend and used Apache2.4, PHP5.6, and MySQL 5.6. But still the gallery is broken. I had to copy my old httpd.conf to it to get it to work, otherwise it says "servers not found". I then copied the gallery3/php.ini options, into the...

Web image library (gallery3) not working after PHP upgrade

Thanks, junovitch. It appears that the newer PHP5.4 did not use my ../gallery/php.ini file, because right away I got an error that "short_open_tag" should be on, even thought in the main php.ini file (under /usr/local/etc/) specified it was on. /var/log/ gave a few warnings but no error...

Web image library (gallery3) not working after PHP upgrade

This is a bit strange. I upgraded PHP5.3 to PHP5.4 yesterday. I checked all WordPress sites were working but did not check my Gallery3 sites (they stopped supporting this software). Right now most paths are not recognized by the computer. For sample: bad site <--nothing works, not even "Log...

Solved Trouble with upgrading from php53-extension to 55-extensions

So I package deleted php56 and installed php54 through ports. But now website does not work correctly -- php codes are not interpreted correctly. Yet PHP seems to be working. Strange. php -v PHP 5.4.35 (cli) (built: Dec 21 2014 12:59:42) Copyright (c) 1997-2014 The PHP Group Zend Engine...

Solved Trouble with upgrading from php53-extension to 55-extensions

I tried /usr/ports/www/pecl-APC/ Make Install but got: > pecl-APC-3.1.14_1 cannot be installed: doesn't work with> lang/php55 port (doesn't support PHP 5.5). so now I am in a deadend....There is no php54 in the ports.

Solved Trouble with upgrading from php53-extension to 55-extensions

I tried to use php5.6 instead today and got similar errors. So I tried to deinstall each port that caused error and then reinstalled again... did this for more than 10 different things: 759 11:30 cd /usr/ports/textproc/php53-dom 760 11:30 make deinstall 761 11:30 cd...

Solved Trouble with upgrading from php53-extension to 55-extensions

I was told that php53 was not secure and asked to upgrade to 54 or higher. I could find only Php5.5. I used ports to deinstall php53 and install php55, no problem. But installing php55-extensions i encountered this error: php55-curl-5.5.11 conflicts with php53-curl-5.3.28 (installs files...

    MySQL problem

I have the same error message. Strangely, I now can log in using phpmyadmin, but the command line does not work. I had preciously tried to reset the password by using no grant tables, and then added a root password. root@cone:/home/hg # mysql -u root mysql ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied...

Using DUMP to backup a drive

Thanks...still related to dump using the same script I got from the site recommended by wblock. I tried to dump to several IDE drives (old but they were working on Freebsd 7.2 when pulled off). but it always quits in the middle (50-94% of dump), reboots, and then the main drive would have to be...

Using DUMP to backup a drive

wblock, Thank you for all the explanation! I used my script to successfully duplicate 1TB to another 1TB, then 1TB to a 20G IDE. However the same code from 20G to a 250G (both IDE, connected via external USB), upon booting the 250G, it says "GPT Boot backup code bad" or something like that...

Using DUMP to backup a drive

I am trying to dump directly to /mnt without cd to it first. However, it seems to dump the contents to / instead..so I got nothing in /mnt. I am not sure why? The reason I wanted to do this is I can start dump in office and can umount /mnt at home. if I cd to it, it won't umount.. Not a big deal...

Using DUMP to backup a drive
