    Evolution and EWS OAuth2

Debugging this is beyond my meager skills, and I won't argue with your assessment beyond the following: the 2FA authentication process also fails in plain Firefox, but succeeds in Chromium. So, there's definitely a problem on here at the end user's side but I couldn't begin to say what it was...

    Evolution and EWS OAuth2

SirDice - thanks again for the suggestion. I'm using IPFW and I've tried temporarily disabling the firewall entirely. I was able to get a bit farther through the authentication process, but the process still fails. We use Duo Security for 2FA, and the process fails with 500 Internal Service...

    Evolution and EWS OAuth2

kpedersen - thank you for suggestion. It's beginning to look like I may have a separate issue that's causing this, but all the same: email/davmail may prove useful! Thanks, I appreciate it!

    Evolution and EWS OAuth2

Phishfry - thanks for the link. Adding the CAMEL_DEBUG=all definitely provides more information; I just don't know what would be helpful at this point. :)

    Evolution and EWS OAuth2

SirDice - thanks for that observation. I'm away from this system today, but I'll take a look at my firewall settings when I'm back at that particular desk.

    Evolution and EWS OAuth2

Phishfry - Thank you for the response (and the reminder about proper formatting!). I've checked through /var/ but don't have anything other than high level messages. There *are* core dumps, but I don't have any real experience understanding core files. I appreciate the help.

    Evolution and EWS OAuth2

Hi all - I'm slowly rebuilding a FreeBSD workstation and I'm running into a strange issue with mail/evolution and mail/evolution-ews. When I work through the create a new account process, I should get an OAuth2 dialog popup after the final step, but things seem to time out. I'm wondering if...

mount_smbfs error 'server name too long'

Hi all - Thanks for any suggestions or thoughts you might have on this topic. I'm trying to connect from a FreeBSD workstation to a shared CIFS file store. I've tried several variations of the following: sudo mount_smbfs //canofbees@ab.cde.efghijklm.nop/qrstu$/vwxyz -U canofbees /mnt/deptstore...

VladiBG - hey! Thank you so much for the response. I'll give the man page a re-read. Best, CoB

IPFW Help limiting connections to IP ranges

Hi all - I'm trying to play around with setting up an IPFW that limits connections to only IP ranges in my organization's domain. I'm used to using a default firewall_enable="YES" and firewall_type="workstation" in /etc/rc.conf, and haven't found anything explicit in the ipfw(8) man page. But...

    OpenBOX Exiting Openbox

Reviewing the http://openbox.org/wiki/Help:Actions#Exit documentation, it looks like the 'Log Out' behavior should be the same across my systems but it definitely is not.

    OpenBOX Exiting Openbox

Hi all -- I'm running into an odd problem with Openbox: on most of my systems, using the Openbox menu > 'Log out' drops me back to a terminal session. However, on one workstation this causes X to terminate -- i.e. I'm left with a black screen, and I typically either need to do a hard reset or...

    Solved mupdf "Cannot open display"

Maxnix -- hey, thanks a bunch. I updated my ~/.xinitrc and, using startx things are back to working the way I would expect. Cheers!

    Solved mupdf "Cannot open display"

Maxnix and SirDice - Thank you both for the help! This is exactly the problem. I don't recall having set this before, so I'm not sure about the correct invocation. When I log in to my system, I typically start X with the following command > xinit /usr/local/bin/openbox-session. Is a xinit...

    Solved mupdf "Cannot open display"

Hi all -- I'm having some issues getting mupdf to open a pdf; e.g. > mupdf some-random.pdf error: cannot open display uncaught exception: cannot open display on FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE #0 r321309 on a Dell Precision Tower 5180. The GPU is an NVidia Quadro K420 (GK107). Here are (hopefully) all...

Solved Xorg and NVidia: cannot start X but no logged errors

Thanks, Atsurie and SirDice, for your time and trouble -- after some restarts I was able to get Xorg back and running. It looks like nvidia-modeset_load="YES" needs to be included in /boot/loader.conf for this particular Quadro.

Solved Xorg and NVidia: cannot start X but no logged errors

SirDice -- thanks. I've almost finished upgrading to 11.1 and I've taken your advice with /boot/loader.conf.

Solved Xorg and NVidia: cannot start X but no logged errors

Atsuri -- Thanks (again!). Once I'm back at my desk I'll try taking nvidia_load="YES" out of /boot/loader.conf and see where that gets me. The card/driver was working great until I did a pkg upgrade yesterday. I think that you're right: it would be a good idea to go ahead and upgrade to 11.1...

Solved Xorg and NVidia: cannot start X but no logged errors

Atsuri -- thanks for the response and the reminder to be more informative :) The card is an NVidia Quadro K420 (GK107). I don't remember this from my initial install, but the `subclass = VGA` seems a bit weird (probably just my bad memory). Here is the output of dmesg -a and pciconf -lv...
