Solved Ventoy??

Has anyone had experience with ventoy, good, bad, or indifferent? If so how well did it work and how easy is it to use? The website makes it look pretty good, but something, and I do not know what it is, is making me feel that it seems too good to be true? Can anyone confirm or deny that feeling from actual use and practice?

Thanks,
QG

It’s great. Although from my experience some ISOs won’t work properly with it. FreeBSD, XigmaNAS, GhostBSD etc…

Any FreeBSD ISO has never worked with Ventiy for me. I’ve always had to flash it to a separate usb.

I've had a successful installation with FreeBSD 13 with Ventoy but 14 was not bootable sucessfully and after some time, Ventoy fixed FreeBSD 14 boot issue. I like using ventoy because I can carry a lot of ISO on it. :)

... so what's wrong with 15.0-BETA2 now? Not booting in ventoy-1.1.05
Not sure about Ventoy, but I booted amd64 15.0-BETA2 memstick some hours ago no problem on UEFI (dd'd to USB).
We can enable persistence.
openSUSE Tumbleweed Live images do persistence automatically; I keep a Xfce image on a USB and boot into it to wipe disks or do BIOS stuff (Terminal history is nice!)

I used it to mount a UFS2 FreeBSD partition and fix something (I think a wrong loader.conf entry before I figured out how to remount r/w from FreeBSD rescue)
