can't resize plasmoids in 4.3

I just get a black bar when I hover over a plasmoid, no close button, etc. I can drag the plasmoid around the screen w/ the black bar, I just can't resize it. How can I resolve this problem?

In such cases I run:
# portsnap fetch update
# portupgrade -aP

[DutchDaemon]

Which is, of course, entirely logical.

My packages are up to date. Was thinking of rebuilding ports related to plasmoids first to see if that fixes the problem as I assume 4.3 plasmoids work for everybody else. I could portupgrade -af and pray that it fixes the problem after 1 1/2 days of compiling. Long time GNOME user that's taking KDE 4 for a spin, have no idea which ports are relevant to plasmoids.

i suggest:
graphics/qt4-imageformats: probably useless, but who knows
x11/kdelibs4: they all depend on this
x11/kdebase4, x11/kdebase4-runtime and x11/kdebase4-workspace: : one of these contains plasma
deskutils/kdeplasma-addons: plasmoids

then, if you still have problems:
portupgrade -f "qt4-*"
