Hi,

i just reinstalled FreeBSD, along with X and Fluxbox. The problem im having is that X wont fit to my screen, dark edges appear in the periphery. I was looking in Xorg.log for the EIDE info to set a modline, but it isn't there. Anyone knows how to fix this, it's quite annoying..

What kind of monitor do you have? Sometimes CRT monitors need to be adjusted to fill the whole screen.

Hm, no it's nothing like that. Its a regular laptop lcd

Ah.. Is it a wide screen laptop? It might not detect the wide screen resolution correctly.

And can you post the /var/log/Xorg.0.log?
