Hi all.
I new in FreeBSD world and have some troubles.
I install BSD 7.2 with KDE 4.2.2, and tune it to run automaticly (the KDE).
1. When i try to install new ports (from Terminal) i not have a right credentials. How i will run Terminal with root credentials?
2. My sound not installed. How i will repaire this?
Thank you.

1) Just fire up a terminal and run su. KDE3.x does have a super-user terminal application so maybe KDE4 also has it (I haven't tested KDE4).

2) Please post the output of dmesg or pciconf -llv so that we can identify the audio chipset you're running. Also have a look at http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/handbook/sound-setup.html.

Ok thnk.

About sound card - i going to check.

About Terminal - i try the su command, but the Terminal not give me use the command. write some thing like "You not will use su command in this session". There is other way to run Terminal in root mode? Or way exit to BSD shell from KDE?

And is your user in the wheel group?

Run groups and check if wheel is one of the groups that your user is in.

Oh Lord!
This is a problem :(
I'm repair it. Going to ctrl+alt+F1 and add user to wheel group.
