But my GDM not show language, I set also /etc/profile and .profile but my GNOME is in English. I want Italian language

solved, I created new user and my language set in /etc/profile work!
but not sufficiently expert to understand why my original user will not know you could Italy
but that is good, are the third day of freebsd. So I shall for now
PS Italy: ISO8859-15

You can set gdm_lang in rc.conf for this.

Ah, it seems this is only for GDM language. Sorry.

So, after that you can select user language in the GDM interface.
