i had have a problem with gnome in slow now i face another problem ,it's when start up gnome it's how me MSG, i make some search but nothing help .
Error activating XKB configuration.
It can happen under various circumstances:
- a bug in libxklavier library
- a bug in X server (xkbcomp, xmodmap utilities)
- X server with incompatible libxkbfile implementation

X server version data:
The X.Org Foundation
10402000

If you report this situation as a bug, please include:
- The result of xprop -root | grep XKB
- The result of gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd

Are your ports updated?
In particular x11/xkeyboard-config.
What is the output of pkg_version -l "<" ?

What is the output of $ pkg_version -l "<" ?
when i run terminal i got this message :

There was an error creating the child process for this terminal

another message when gnome star up :

The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:GNOME_ClockApplet".
Do you want to delete the applet from your configuration?

Can you try the same command from ttyv0 and as root? (press ctrl+alt+f1, then alt+f9 to go back to X).

About gnome, did you tried reading this?
