Hello,

First time FreeBSD'er here. After installing KDE and logging in as a user, I discovered that my user cannot do essential things in the manager such as: change date/time, mount or automount cdrom, change policies, etc.

The user is part of the wheel group. How can I grant this user more previlieges so I can "breathe" while using KDE?

I realize this might be a generic question but I'm a new comer to FreeBSD and the Unix world. Thanks for any help/pointers you provide.

Is the user in the operator group?
