Hi all,

Two days ago I have been boght a new conputer, and I installed freebsd on it.

I installed xorg-minimal, gnome2-lite and gdm,

And then something is very strange, look the picture:

I can't reboot or shutdown, and if I logout( I can logout,^.^) I can't reboot or shutdown with gm too.

When I click reboot or shutdown, the system always tell me failure. :(

why?

Before the installation process, I have been edited /usr/ports/x11/gnome2-lite/Makefile, I just deleted one line: "totem:${PORTSDIR}/multimedia/totem", I don't like it, but I think this do not have any effect on my little beautiful gnome and gdm.

gnome version = 2.24.3

Hi "Fender"

Do you have dbus and hal in your rc.conf file ?

dbus_enable="YES"
hald_enable="YES"

Do you have added the procfs on your fstab ?

file system mount point type options dump pass
proc /proc procfs rw 0 0

Niko.
