It's been years since I did that. I recall something called idesk. had to create a generator for each icon which was a fun project when I first started working with bsd.

I've never used it, but there is also fbdesk: x11/fbdesk.

Thx, I've tried both, but x11/idesk seems to be much, much better than x11/fbdesk.

Sorry for this old thread, but icons are something needed for Fluxbox or other WMs. Have tried to have icons for Fluxbox Idesk, Fbdesk but the best works ROX-Desktop.

x11-fm/rox-filer
x11/rox-wallpaper

Icons are movable. You can use .desktop files, ROX-Filler for drag and drop these files or programs to the desktop (ROX-Wallpaper) and make icons. Manually make icons.

Settings for icons are in directory ~/.config/rox.sourceforge.net/ROX-Filer
