Hi people!
I was wondering what happened with the new stable Akonadi-based PIM that was announced for KDE 4.6.4. Any idea why the ports tree still uses 4.4?
Thanks for reading!

Hi,
it is not stable enough:

Upstream already declared it stable? :\

But it is not stable enough for us. ;)
We need a testing phase. As soon as it is ready, it will be committed. Meanwhile, you can be a tester.

@avilla & BrainDamage: after some testing I think you're both basically right ... it has *lots* of bugs and really needs user intervention to work properly.
Never though that KDE could declare as stable such a buggy software... or it's a FreeBSD-only problem?
Thanks a lot for answering!

or it's a FreeBSD-only problem?
No, it isn't. They had to release it to expose it to a wider userbase. This will make it grow faster.
