Network Manager Question

I am currently running KDE4 only because I have read that it works better on freeBSD then Gnome. I would rather use Gnome the only thing holding me back is no support for network manager. I use to many different networks to terminal commands.

Are there any Network manager "like" programs I can use in the ports for gnome?

I don't know if wicd would work? it's not in ports, and I don't know if it works with FreeBSD, if it doesn't I guess it just need some patches.
