Hello, forums!
I'm using ion3 and i've switched from archlinux to bsd some time ago.
So, now i've got trouble with displaying non-ascii characters in my tab names (like "???"). The font that i use does support them, also i've tried fixed-font - no change.
My locale is en_US.UTF-8.
I've tried the XLC_LOCALE fix recommended for same problem in linux (http://www.ugolnik.info/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/xlc_locale) - no effect, i've got the very same '???' with it. Any variants without switching the locale to some koi8-r or something?

In an UTF-8 locale, Ion displays some characters incorrectly.

I've seen it; but: everything worked OK on linux (probably without ion3-xft-patch).
Also, the problem is not as described in tuomo's faq - but like http://funkyimg.com/u2/684/438/1.png for window name with any non-ascii chars in it.

Well - i've posted the message with img that is waiting for mod's approval - but after posting it i've mentioned one more thing: the problem with "???" instead of whole name presented only if there are some russian letters in the window name, mocp with playing some kanji-named track is pretty OK (i mean, it has the bug like in tuomov's faq, but i can identify it - so that's OK).

I tried to fix that link (it went to the funkyimg main site), but it doesn't show a pic (hotlinking not allowed, it seems). Try again with another pic hoster maybe.

Also - just tried to use xft-patched version of ion - very same thing here.
