I quote you (highlighted) where you specifically state that it is "not ideal since the host system is slow".I appreciate your concern but as I mentioned already dolphin and kwrite are working perfectly. I do not see any reason for me to change my options. Thank you.
So at this point, I suspect you are trolling. Or, your concept of "working perfectly" is considerably incorrect. Thanks, I forwarded dolphin and it lets me open kwrite. Although it is not ideal since the host system is slow.
Nah, you are being defensive for some reason. Understand that sometimes technical limitations (i.e of the host) are more important than preference. Shovelling complex GUI through the X11 protocol is less effective than shovelling simple GUI through the X11 protocol. Understand? Perhaps I took for granted that this is common knowledge. The phrase "kwrite is a bad choice" does openly challenge one's preferences.
And that is exactly what X11 or X11/ssh with i.e VcXsrv is for.The need of that time was to find a way to rw onto my FreeBSD disk with a GUI
If you are a Wayland kid, then VNC/RDP-subset is the only option for you. But, again, that is a "bad choice" on a slow host.
Your following statement basically:Care to explain how exactly do you know that I haven't tried any?
dolphin and kwrite are working perfectly. I do not see any reason for me to change my options. Thank you.
Good luck!
